Community Garden Olympics

With the Community Garden Olympics, teams can compete in garden-themed challenges like speed planting, soil sifting relay races, and garden design competitions.

Grades can compete with who grows the largest pumpkin or biggest cucumber. Take it further and let kids make pickles or salsa and then have a taste off. With these activities, students can learn about sustainability while working together, plus the garden becomes a lasting project they can maintain throughout the year.
