Cardboard City Challenge

Future architects, city planners, and construction workers are all just waiting to learn the joys of building something with their hands. This challenge can incorporate recycled or new products but we love keeping it simple with basic cardboard so the creative juices really start flowing in young minds. When it’s finished you can add tiny cars, people, plastic trees and other additions.

To get started, use cardboard, tape, and basic art supplies, and have teams design and build a miniature city with working features like bridges, transportation systems, and public spaces. Teams must plan, negotiate, and problem-solve together.

Check out Lemon Lime Adventures where they give some tips for bringing this idea to life. https://lemonlimeadventures.com/cardboard-city/
