Since 2009, hundreds of thousands of Global (formerly National) Day of Unplugging participants have joined the movement to elevate human connection over digital engagement in their cities across the globe.
Katheryn Rice (Kat, as her friends like to call her) has joined the movement! Kat opened an independent bookstore called Monkey Kat Books in the Summer of 2024. Monkey Kat Books is a cozy new spot to explore a curated selection of books, unique gifts, and delightful teas and snacks. Locally owned and operated, our shop aims to be more than just a bookstore; it's a community hub where you can enjoy a quiet read, find the perfect gift, or attend engaging events.
