Welcome to our Unplugged Village®
Since 2009, hundreds of thousands of Global (formerly National) Day of Unplugging participants have joined the movement to elevate human connection over digital engagement in their cities across the globe.
Mira Vista Elementary school in Richmond has joined the movement in 2022 with a PTA led effort to help students and families unplug. For GDU 2024 they will have the following activities:
1) Campus scavenger hunts during school on Fri Mar 1
2) PJ night and book giveaway Fri Mar 1 from 6-8 pm
3) MV unplugged hike and birdwatching adventure: Sat Mar 2, 2 pm
4) Optional family pledge - can be filled out on paper or online (for the first time).
5) launching a Mira Vista Unplugged WhatsApp group
