Resistor Case Kit
Great for ages 12+ and a perfect classroom activity to teach digital well-being, sustainable manufacturing and craftsmanship. For groups, purchase packs of 5 with a discount.
Resistor Case is a Do-It-Yourself fabric pouch for your cell phone. It was designed by Professor Marcel O'Gorman, PhD to help people resist the temptation of using their devices when attention needs to be focused elsewhere.
Resistor Case comes as a kit, complete with recycled fabric, high-power Velcro, rivets, a resistor (for decorative use only), and a set of cards to promote reflection about responsible technology.
The kit was tested on over 1,000 high school students and has been used by corporations, individuals, and families to promote responsible device use. Read about the project in The Atlantic and CBC News.
