Since 2009, hundreds of thousands of Global (formerly National) Day of Unplugging participants have joined the movement to elevate human connection over digital engagement in their cities across the globe.
Yeah Yoga has joined the movement participating in Global Day of Unplugging 2023 activities. Yeah Yoga is a non profit that shares the tools of yoga and mindfulness with youth involved with or affected by the carceral system in New Orleans. For 2025 Yeah Yoga will be holding a “12 Days of Unplugging" campaign on social media.
In 2025, we are also excited to partner with Paw Print Publishing and the Author (Britt Gondolfi) and Illustrator (Amanda Romanick) for their new book Look Up: Fontaine the Pigeon Starts a Revolution – Paw Prints Publishing. Together, we are launching a fun storytime adventure you can put on at a local book store, library or other location. Both Britt and Amanda live in the NOLA region and were just two mom’s struggling with their own tech usage who envisioned this lovely story. You can read our Blog for the backstory. They will be holding some literacy themed fun activities at the Hammond Market on Feb 22, and March 8 from 8-12.
