Since 2009, hundreds of thousands of Global (formerly National) Day of Unplugging participants have joined the movement to elevate human connection over digital engagement in their cities across the globe.
Dylan Banagis with Life Unplugged, a business in Mt. Pleasant, MI has joined the movement. What started with a student and his professor, turned into a bus full of gear, and now a nationwide movement to encourage others to live a life focused off the screen. Life Unplugged is a successful clothing and merchandise company seeking to energize people to unplug, live life to the fullest and help spread awareness for children born with a congenital heart defect--the leading cause of infant death. 11% of our net profits are donated to families of children born with a CHD. Their new store in Mt. Pleasant also serves as a gathering place for the town, where they host unplugged events. Two local companies Sleepy Dog Books and For Arts Sake have joined the movement as well!
