Welcome to our Unplugged Village®
Since 2009, hundreds of thousands of Global (formerly National) Day of Unplugging participants have joined the movement to elevate human connection over digital engagement in their cities across the globe.
Laura Wyatt Smith is a Digital Welllness Educator, Life Coach and author who has joined the movement! Laura provides support and help to parents as they navigate their children’s screen time. She will have a new book coming out soon called “ScreenSaver” which will have practical tips and judgement-free insights for parents. Check out Laura’s website HERE to learn more.
Beginning in 2020 Cordelia Oxley from the Book Fairies participated in GDU. This International group had it’s origination in London and is based on the simple but fun idea of hiding books around the city for others to find, read and then leave for the next person! Several Little Free Libraries (LFL) also participated in GDU with a fun scavenger hunt. There are over 200,000 LFL’s in the world with many located in London. One adorable one to check out is Thornhill LFL.
If you live in the area and would like to have unplugged programming in your neighborhood, consider joining us, as we all have a stake in building a healthy community!
