UNPLUG COLLAB
Powering Human Connection
Want to get your people together IRL for a full-on-human connection and create a meaningful (mostly phone-free) gathering with our support between January and April 2024?
Want access to resources (like Smartphone Nap-Sacks, fun snacks, art supplies and content creation support), throw a dope hang, a chill hike, or a killer jam?
Unplug Collab is here for it.
We’ll support 100 events in 2024 as part of our partnership with Hinge to combat loneliness and encourage meaningful, mindful, community gatherings.
The only rules: your event must be IRL between January and April 2024, attendees must include at least 50% Gen Z (ages 18-28), and unplugging must be encouraged (yes, ditch the phones).
Ready to join our waitlist?
Submissions for our future cohort are being accepted, tell us about your event so we can figure out how to support you!
Heads up: Not every submitted event will be accepted (we wish, one day). Approved events will be notified via email with the next steps. Happy Unplugging!

What is the Global Day of Unplugging 2024?
When the (formerly National) Global Day of Unplugging awareness campaign started in 2009, very little academic and clinical research had been conducted about the long term impact of smartphone use on mental health. Recognizing the need for awareness of what might become a bigger problem, the Jewish arts and culture non-profit Reboot launched in partnership with Sabbath Manifesto, a project designed to slow down lives in an increasingly hectic world. What was once a small group of people gathering for tech-free Shabbat dinners turned into thousands of worldwide community partners organizing live unplugged events, year after year.
Enter Unplug Collaborative, the nonprofit organization that has been keeping the awareness campaign thriving since March 2020 (what a year!)
For the 15th year in a row, from sundown to sundown March 1st - 2nd, 2024, thousands of people around the world will be consciously stepping away from technology to celebrate Global Day of Unplugging.
